I'm nearing the time of Tyler being gone, and I have yet to go shopping except at our store. The fridge is essentially empty. The cupboards are bare. The shelves have nothing but dust. But I did have a bit of Spanish chorizo that had started to mold on the ends and two packages of ancient ramen that have been taking shelf space - now that the shelves were empty, they stood out like sore thumbs. So for lunch, seared chorizo with ramen noodles, pan fried in sesame oil and finished with black sesame seed. (I just love both of these pictures - great lighting today - worth you clicking to enlarge!)

That is great lighting, Rob-- you even got great smoke visibility! :) (I'll try not to think about the moldy chorizo ends...) Ah, Ramen! Great comfort food :)
(Did you mean the time of Tyler *arriving*?)
Ha! Yeah...although he'll be gone from somewhere. I can see it now, "Hey, glad you're home. Really missed you. Now go shopping!"
This blog doesn't do you photos justice! You can't see the beauty of them until you click, and most people are too lazy. Maybe you should try uploading them to Flickr.com first, for great piture quality.
:/ Thanks Colette. Lazy people may lose out unfortunately. I reserve my flicker page for desserts, but even there you need to click to enlarge, unless I make my formate one that only shows the most recent one or two pics. But then the lazy people won't see my older stuff (meaning days not months). Oh well...can't win on this one I think.
You can do as I do, Rob... As soon as you upload a pic on Flickr, you can go to the photo page, click "All Sizes", choose your preferred size (I use medium-500 pixels wide) then copy the code for the image and paste it into the "Compose" window of the "Create New Post" area. The drawback is that your older photos in Flickr get pushed away, BUT they will always be alive on your blog-- they won't be deleted. (check out my site to see how it works out :)
You can also upload large pics in Blogger, then choose a "Large" display size, but the image capacity might run out eventually.
Thanks Mark. I'll give it a try on my next post.
